are reportedly considering a surprise move for Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, should Pep Guardiola decide to leave the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season. Guardiola, who has been in charge of City for a decade, has won numerous titles, including six Premier League crowns, two FA Cups, four League Cups, and the Champions League.
However, there is growing speculation that Guardiola may choose to depart the club, despite having signed a new deal until 2027. If this were to happen, City’s hierarchy have already begun making contingency plans, with Maresca emerging as a potential candidate to take the reins.
Maresca, who has had two spells with City, first as a youth coach and later as an assistant to Guardiola, has built a reputation as a skilled tactician. Guardiola has consistently stated that he will not stay at City if he feels the club needs a change.
