Manchester United are reportedly considering a loan deal for Conor Gallagher, the 25-year-old England international midfielder from Atletico Madrid, as part of their January transfer plans. According to Talksport, the Red Devils have shortlisted seven midfielders, with Gallagher being one of the more feasible options.
Gallagher, who has been in impressive form for Atletico Madrid, has also been linked with other Premier League clubs, but Manchester United’s interest in him is said to be genuine. The 25-year-old has a wealth of experience in the Premier League, having played for Chelsea before joining Atletico Madrid.
Meanwhile, Tottenham have ended their pursuit of Bournemouth and Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo, but the 25-year-old remains a target for Manchester City and Manchester United. Liverpool are also weighing up their options following Alexander Isak‘s injury.
Aston Villa have made contact with Brennan Johnson’s representatives, with the 24-year-old Wales and Tottenham winger also being targeted by Crystal Palace. Chelsea are open to sending Axel Disasi to AC Milan, but the Italian club are holding off while they assess their options.

Roma have made a 5m euro offer to bring in Manchester United and Netherlands forward Joshua Zirkzee, 24, in January, with a further 30m euros in June to make the deal permanent. Manchester United and Newcastle United have shortlisted Portugal midfielder Ruben Neves, 28, with Al-Hilal believed to be open to a January sale. Real Madrid’s 19-year-old Brazil forward Endrick is set to join Lyon on a six-month loan deal.
Bayer Leverkusen are exploring a deal to sign Brighton’s 17-year-old English winger Harry Howell, with other German clubs also interested. Chelsea’s top midfield target for January is Lille’s 18-year-old French midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi.
