Salah’s Apology to Liverpool Team-Mates

Details

Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones has revealed that forward Mohamed Salah apologized to his team-mates after his recent outburst, in which he expressed his frustration with the club and his relationship with head coach Arne Slot.
According to Jones, Salah’s apology was a heartfelt gesture, and the Egypt international’s positive demeanor and willingness to move forward have helped to ease tensions within the team.
The controversy surrounding Salah’s comments began after he was dropped from the starting lineup for a 3-3 draw at Leeds United on December 6. In an explosive interview, Salah expressed his feelings of being “thrown under the bus” by the club and his relationship with Slot having broken down.
However, since then, Salah has returned to the team and has been involved in a 2-0 win against Brighton, where he delivered the corner from which Hugo Ekitike scored the second goal. The victory was a welcome boost for the team, and Jones believes that the incident has brought the squad closer together.
“We’re past that now and we’re gelling well as a team, playing well and starting to win games,” Jones said in an interview with Sky Sports. “When there’s been any sort of anger from us, including myself, it’s always been from a good place. In the moment, it might not have come out in the right way, but it’s never been to affect the team, the staff, the manager, anybody like that.”
Jones also acknowledged that Salah’s comments had caused a stir within the club, with some critics labeling them as a “disgrace” and “carnage.” However, he believes that the incident has been put to rest, and the team is now focused on their next match against Tottenham.
