Christian Pulisic’s Future Takes a New Twist

AC Milan Makes Transfer Call as Renewal Talks Stall Amid Growing Premier League Interest

Christian Pulisic, the American star, has been at the center of a whirlwind of speculation regarding his future at AC Milan. The 27-year-old forward has been a key player for the Serie A giants, delivering crucial goals and momentum despite the uncertainty surrounding his contract renewal.

From Chelsea to Milan: A Transformation

When Pulisic joined Milan from Chelsea in the summer of 2023, expectations were high but guarded. The American had to prove his consistency and clarity on the pitch. However, he has since transformed into one of the club’s most reliable performers. Across his first two seasons in Italy, Pulisic steadily grew into a top performer, recording 12 goals and eight assists in 36 league matches in the 2023-24 season. A year later, he improved again, posting 11 goals and nine assists in Serie A and 17 goals in all competitions.

A New Era Under Allegri

This season has seen a subtle but crucial evolution in Pulisic’s game. Under Massimiliano Allegri, he has been deployed as a forward in a 3-5-2 formation, giving him greater positional freedom and reducing his defensive burden. The results speak loudly, with Pulisic scoring nine goals and adding two assists in 13 appearances across all competitions.

Interest Grows, Rumors Follow

The American star’s form has not gone unnoticed, with reports linking him to Manchester United and interest from Saudi Arabia. However, according to Fabrizio Romano, those rumors have little substance. Milan considers Pulisic “untouchable” and “the player at the moment.” The 27-year-old himself has not indicated wanting to leave, with his comfort, importance, and continuity in Italy contrasting sharply with the instability he endured in England.

Why Milan Cannot Afford to Hesitate

Despite stalled talks, Milan will re-enter negotiations shortly to improve their offer and find an agreement with the forward. Romano expects Milan to return to the table soon and try to offer Pulisic a better deal and find a solution. The delay is not a rejection; it’s timing. Pulisic’s current contract runs until June 2027, which reduces immediate pressure. However, Milan understands the bigger picture, with Pulisic being the team’s most decisive attacker and one of Serie A’s elite performers.
