Tadeo Allende Raises Doubts About His Future at Inter Miami

MLS History Maker Weighs Options

Tadeo Allende, the Argentine forward who made a significant impact at Inter Miami CF in 2025, has cast a shadow of uncertainty over his future with the team. The 24-year-old’s impressive performance, which included setting a new MLS record for goals in a single postseason, has left fans and pundits alike wondering if he will remain with the Fort Lauderdale club beyond his loan deal’s expiration at the end of December 2025.

From Struggles to Success

Allende’s journey at Inter Miami was not without its challenges. Initially deployed as a winger, he struggled to find consistency, including a 10-game MLS scoring drought midway through the season. However, after shifting into a more central role, he finished the year as a striker with 24 goals and three assists in 54 appearances across all competitions.

MLS Record Breaker

Allende’s most impressive stretch came during the MLS Cup playoffs, where he delivered nine goals and two assists in six postseason matches, outscoring Lionel Messi and setting a new MLS record for goals in a single postseason. This achievement surpassed Carlos Ruiz’s mark of eight with the LA Galaxy.

Uncertain Future

When asked directly about a possible return to Inter Miami, Allende struck a cautious tone, neither confirming nor ruling out a future in MLS. “Day to day, family comes first, and we’ll see what happens. There’s still a long way to go. I’m also anxious — I have the same information you do. For now, tomorrow I’m going on vacation and I’m going to clear my head. Then we’ll see what happens.”

Market Value and Transfer Rumors

Allende’s market value has risen significantly since joining Inter Miami on loan, from €2 million to €5 million. Celta Vigo, the Spanish club that signed him from Godoy Cruz in January 2024 for €4.5 million, will likely look to recoup or exceed that investment, potentially complicating Inter Miami’s efforts to retain him. Reports have also surfaced suggesting Allende’s agent has offered him to River Plate ahead of the 2026 season.
